New MacKillop College Summer Shirt is now available

MacKillop College is excited to announce the arrival of the new “summer shirt”, now in stock and available for purchase from our official uniform supplier, Academy Uniforms.

Following extensive consultation with the MacKillop College community, particularly our students, the new summer shirt has been introduced to offer a comfortable and stylish option for all-year-round wear. The shirt can be worn with the current College shorts or pants and is designed to be worn untucked and without a tie, providing a relaxed yet smart alternative to the traditional white shirt and tie combination.

Uniform Expectations with the New Summer Shirt

While the summer shirt offers greater comfort and flexibility, it is important to note the overall uniform standards remain in place:

• Students must wear a blazer on formal occasions, including Photo Day, although wearing the jumper as the outer garment to and from school is accepted.

• Traditional white shirts must be tucked in and worn with a tie.

• The new summer shirt is to be worn untucked and without a tie.

• Hair should be neat and tidy, with hair tied back only when required for safety in practical classes.

• Facial hair, if any, must be neat and trimmed.

• Minimal, natural-toned makeup and clear nail polish are permitted.

• For safety reasons, fingernails must be kept short for practical classes such as PE, Wood, Food, and Science.
