Careers & Senior Pathways Expo
This year, our Careers & Senior Pathways Expo will be held on Thursday 3 July. The new-look Expo will be held in the Tenison Woods Centre and Moreno Performing Arts Centre at MacKillop College from 6.00pm.
Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 students and their families are invited to come and meet with over 30 exhibitors and to attend a session that will provide you with information to help you make informed choices on the next stage of school journey.
Families of Year 8 to 12 students have this week been sent further information regarding careers and the subject selection process via Operoo. If you’re looking to attend one of the Subject Selection information sessions as part of the Expo, you will need to book via this link: https://www.trybooking.com/DCVLL

Important: School Bus Service Changes – Tuesday, 1st July 2025
We have received notification from CDC Victoria regarding planned industrial action by the Transport Workers Union (TWU) on Tuesday, 1st July 2025.
Please note the following important information regarding school bus services:
-
Regular DET School Runs:
Apart from the Harpley/Jubilee school run, all regular school runs with DET (Department of Education and Training) will still be running as normal on Tuesday, 1st July 2025. -
Dedicated School Bus Services:
All dedicated school bus services operated by CDC Victoria in Wyndham will run as normal on Tuesday, 1st July 2025. These buses will display your school’s name on the destination sign. -
Route Bus Services:
Any students who catch PTV (Public Transport Victoria) route bus services may be affected.
If your child usually uses a route bus service that is diverted to or passes in front of the school during school hours, this service will NOT operate on Tuesday, 1st July. These buses display standard route numbers rather than a school name. -
Jubilee/Harpley Bus Charter:
The CDC Victoria Jubilee/Harpley bus charter will not run on Tuesday, 1st July due to the planned industrial action.
Families who use this service will need to arrange alternative transport for students on this day.
All services will resume as normal from Wednesday, 2nd July 2025.
What You Need To Do:
If your child is affected by these changes, please make alternative transport arrangements for Tuesday, 1st July. If you are unsure whether your child’s service is affected, please contact CDC Victoria directly at 03 9977 9900.
To support individual career counselling sessions as part of the Expo, we will be running online learning days for Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 students on the following dates:
- Year 9: Friday, July 25
- Year 8: Monday, July 28
- Year 10: Wednesday, July 30
On these days, students will be provided with work via the SEQTA platform, which they are expected to complete independently at home. These online learning days are necessary as a significant number of our teaching staff will be assisting with the individual career counselling sessions.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we work to provide meaningful guidance and opportunities for our students.
